Vanguard University is one of the top Christian fine arts universities in the world, with nationally-known music programs and alums who work in the highest levels of the entertainment industry. The Vanguard concert choir performs regularly in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York.

The music faculty have advanced degrees from Juilliard, Yale and the New England Conservatory of Music, and bring experience from the highest levels of performance. Most are working musicians who lend their talents to film soundtracks, television shows, jazz studio sessions, with performers such as Andrea Bocelli, Dave Koz and Barry Manilow, and in live performances at the Hollywood Bowl and Disney Concert Hall.

Held in two prominent locations in Orange County – Segerstrom Hall and St.Andrews Presbyterian Church, Fantasia will attract an audience of approximately 4,100 senior business leaders, music aficionados, community leaders and those who enjoy the finer things in life.

 

Scholarship Donor Reception

VIP Angel’s Baseball Suite Night

Vanguard University annually hosts a night at the ballpark for special friends and donors of the University.  In appreciation for your gifts and support, we invite our VIP to an evening of baseball fun on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 for the Angels vs. Seattle Mariners game.  No better way to spend a suite night than with friends of Vanguard on the baseball field!  The evening begins at 7:05pm at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

 

Breakfast with Lloyd Reeb

Vanguard University is excited for the opportunity of welcoming Lloyd Reeb, successful real estate developer and primary spokesperson for the Halftime movement, on campus with us June 5, 2012 for a morning breakfast at 7:30am.  Halftime is a national initiative of Leadership Network where Lloyd has been for the past decade, speaking about mid-life transition issues, leading Success to Significance workshops, and directly coaching people on the journey.  We invite our special guests within the local business and professional community to hear from this extraordinary speaker, author, and spokesperson. Veterans Courtyard of Honor Dedication

Vanguard is honored to host a Dedication Ceremony for the honor of all Veterans on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 5pm.  The Veterans Courtyard marks a historic landmark on the campus and makes Vanguard one of the only institutions to have a Courtyard of its kind–dedicated in appreciation, honor, and celebration for our Veterans.  Admiral Vernon E. Clark, former chief of Naval Operations, member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and on the board of directors for Vanguard University is our distinguished guest speaker for the evening.

 

 

2012 Women in Business Awards Luncheon

Director of Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice and resident faculty member Sandra Morgan will be recognized as one of the five nominees during the Orange County Business Journals’ Women in Business Awards Luncheon. The Eighteenth Annual Women in Business Awards Luncheon & Program honors five of OC’s exceptional business and professional women. The Women in Business special supplement, published May 7 by OCBJ, previews the program, featuring profiles and photos of this year’s nominees plus articles of interest from Women in Business sponsors and advertisers.
