Vanguard University Professor of Music Joni Prado, DMA, is passionate about music and wants to inspire her students in the pursuit of their musical gifts. Loved by her students, Dr. Prado is known for going above and beyond to help students in and out of the classroom. Her more than 20 years of service to Vanguard University have included many highlights such as conducting at Carnegie Hall in 2019.
Dr. Prado desires her students to graduate with more than a diploma. “I want students to leave inspired. That somehow, I have impacted their lives in such a way that they want to also find ways to inspire and impact others. I want them to see how pursuing excellence in all areas of our life is a posture of worship.”
