Your Year-End Gift Can Transform a Vanguard Student‘s Journey
Meet Tiffany Pope ’25, a junior Communications with a concentration in Technology and Emerging Media major, with a minor in Theology. She is the recipient of the Presidential Academic Scholarship and an Athletic Scholarship, both of which have played a vital role in her transformative Vanguard experience.
Tiffany was initially drawn to Vanguard to play softball. She soon realized that VU was more than just a place to compete, but where her faith and character could grow. “I cannot thank God enough for placing me here,” she shared. “The community, my teammates, professors, and friends have poured into me, and I have never felt so supported.”
Despite the challenges of a tough sophomore year and a sports injury, Tiffany has embraced growth through trials. Moments of encouragement, such as a professor praying for her during a difficult time, were examples of a community where care for students is a hallmark. “I learned so much about my identity and how to be joyful even in suffering,” she said.
Campus leadership roles, internships, and a mission trip to Northern Ireland, have prepared Tiffany for a Christ-centered life of leadership and service. “My Vanguard education is truly one of a kind,” said Tiffany. “Getting an education in general is top tier, but having a degree where its foundation is centered on Christ is going to always help me wherever I work.”
We invite you to prayerfully consider making a year-end gift to the Alumni & Friends Scholarship Fund. Your gift ensures that more students have the chance to experience a Christian education, spiritual growth, and life-changing community that Tiffany has found at VU.
