Vanguard Giving Day returns Thursday, November 6, 2025!
Vanguard Giving Day is a powerful online fundraising campaign conducted for 24 hours that will provide our campus partners–academics, athletics, and student life–the opportunity to raise unrestricted dollars for specific programs, projects, or activities.
To participate, departments must submit a completed application by May 9, 2025. In your application, you should:
- Identify a funding opportunity and set a financial goal. If you need help setting a goal, we’re happy to assist.
- Discuss your initiative with your dean or VP; approval is required before it will be included in Giving Day 2025.
- Describe your initiative clearly: What is the opportunity? How will it benefit students? Why does it matter? If your department participated in 2024, include updates and impact stories from last year. Concrete examples and quotes make your story more compelling.
- Upload photos to help bring your initiative to life; images from last year’s results or what you hope to achieve this year are especially powerful.
- Select 2–4 Ambassadors (faculty, staff, or alumni) to promote your initiative through social media, email, and personal outreach.
NOTE: Facility upgrade or improvement projects require approval from Campus Operations and Facilities (COF). Initiatives must be reviewed by COF for implementation and project expenses.
