Stephanie D’Auria, PhD, is the chair of the Sociology Department and associate professor of sociology. She recognized her love for teaching early in her life. That love for passing on knowledge, combined with several life experiences, drew her to being a “professional helper”, as she describes it, by helping people access the help they need. In Dr. D’Auria’s classes, she challenges her students to learn about society, how it works, and that they can be people who change and impact society.
